I couldn’t resist sharing these images, which I stumbled across on the blog Laughing Squid, and which were first posted on another interesting blog, Street Anatomy. The photos were part of an advertising campaign–created by DDB Brazil–for an art school in Brazil, the Museu de Arte de São Paulo (MASP), and imagine what might be encountered, post-dissection, in the abdominal cavities of three iconic artists.
The material isn’t really aligned with the general theme of my blog, but they immediately caught the eye of this art-loving physician, so here they are. And they’re just so damn clever and creative. I wish there were more. Klimt? Or, perhaps, Mondrian?

Sort of relieved they didn’t tackle H.R. Giger.

Wow, me too! (Disclosure: I didn’t know Giger’s work before you brought him to my attention….)

These are fun. Very witty. As for other candidates for dissection, how about Magritte? Or Escher?
